Laureen Harris is a partner in the firm’s Tax Certiorari practice group. Ms. Harris has established herself as a credible authority on tax certiorari proceedings within the State of New York.  With over 40 years of experience, Ms. Harris has gained extensive trial and appellate experience, while creating legal precedent in a myriad of areas, both in terms of valuation and legal principles.

Ms. Harris is currently President of the Association for a Better Long Island (ABLI) and has been a Board Member since 1996. She is also a founding member of Wilbur F. Breslin Center for Real Estate Studies at Hofstra Law, a center of excellence for the interdisciplinary study of real estate development and law. Ms. Harris is the past Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Tax Certiorari & Condemnation Committee (1995 – 1997) and has continued to be an active participant in the Committee.  She is also the former Downstate Chairman in Tax Certiorari and Condemnation for the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Harris was a gubernatorial appointed Trustees of the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) (2019-2024). She was newly appointed gubernatorial member of Empire State Development (ESD).

Ms. Harris has been listed in City & State NY as part of the Long Island Power 100 annually since 2018.
