Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP (“FDT”) congratulates partner Stephanie M. Alberts on being appointed Co-Chair of the firm’s Tax, Trusts & Estates practice group. Her appointment was effective January 1, 2022.

In addition, Cora A. Pappas was promoted to a Tax, Trusts & Estates Legal Assistant. She is solely responsible for assisting attorneys prepare documents and for court proceedings, liaising between attorneys and clients and onboarding departmental assistants.

“I am thrilled that Stephanie has been appointed my Co-Chair,” said Robert H. Groman, a partner in FDT’s Tax, Trusts & Estates practice group. “This position will allow her to more effectively handle departmental matters, including the administration of the estates and the litigation regarding estate matters. Both of these promotions are a superb move for the firm and our clients,” he added.

In addition to American, New York State and Nassau County Bar Association memberships, Ms. Alberts is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Nassau County and American Business Associates (ABA) of Long Island, Inc. Earlier this year, she was appointed to a two-year term as the Co-Chair of the NCBA’s Surrogate’s Court Estates and Trusts Committee.

Ms. Alberts, an East Rockaway, NY resident, earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.A. from SUNY Binghamton.
