Partner Daniel P. Deegan And Publisher Stuart Richner Appointed to the LIA Board

June 2015 — Partner Daniel P. Deegan of Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana, LLP and Stuart Richner President and Publisher of Richner Communications were elected to the Board of Directors of the Long Island Association (LIA).

Daniel P. Deegan, resident of Sea Cliff, heads up the Firm’s Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Municipal Incentives and Government Relations practices, with particular emphasis on facilitating and implementing responsible real estate development projects. He specializes in Real Estate Development Law, Zoning Law, Municipal Incentives/IDA Law, and Government Relations/Municipal Law. Mr. Deegan is on the Board of the New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV) and is Vice Chairman of the Long Island Chapter. He has served as President of the Glen Cove Rotary, and Member, Board of Directors for the Gift of Life Foundation and, currently, North Shore Sheltering Program, Inc., a shelter for the homeless. He is also a member of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS), where he was recognized as the ‘Associate Member of the Year.’

Stuart Richner, a resident of Rockeville Centre, serves as president and publisher of Long Island-based Richner Communications, Inc. (RCI). Mr. Richner is also an owner and president of Broad Street Media (BSM) and Review Publishing Media, LLC (RPM), with publications in the Philadelphia area, and NJ Media Group (NJMG) and Baltimore Media Guide, LLC (BMG), with publications in northern New Jersey and Baltimore, respectively. The combined readership of RCI, BSM, RPM, NJMG, and BMG products exceeds 1,000,000 people. Mr. Richner is an active member of several professional newspaper associations and industry groups. He currently serves on the Board of PAGE Cooperative, the largest member-owned purchasing cooperative comprised of independent newspaper groups throughout the United States. He is also involved with numerous charitable and civic organizations. He serves on the board of directors of Island Harvest, Long Island’s largest hunger-relief organization, and the American Red Cross on Long Island. He also sits on the board of the Rockville Centre Education Foundation which provides financial and creative support to the local public schools.
