Partner Daniel P. Deegan, Esq. Moderates Panel at the Veterans Housing Conference Hosted by Adelphi University

(Uniondale, NY, May 1, 2013) Partner Daniel P. Deegan of the Uniondale-based law firm of Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana, LLP, will moderate the “Creating Meaningful Housing” panel at the Veterans Housing Conference on June 19th, 2013 at Adelphi University, Garden City, New York.

Presented by Adelphi University & Capacity Green LLC, this timely conference will address the pressing need to provide more housing for returning veterans, female heads of household and the older veteran population. The conference will provide a platform to educate and advocate for additional housing as well as to demonstrate meaningful programs and discuss funding options to make it happen.

Daniel P. Deegan heads up the Firm’s Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Municipal Incentives and Government Relations practices, with particular emphasis on facilitating and implementing responsible real estate development projects. He specializes in Real Estate Development Law, Zoning Law, Municipal Incentives/IDA Law, and Government Relations/Municipal Law. Dan has a reputation for “getting things done” with efficiency, effectiveness and integrity.

He is on the Board of the New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV). He has served as President of the Glen Cove Rotary, and Member, Board of Directors for the Gift of Life Foundation and, North Shore Sheltering Program, Inc., a shelter for the homeless. He is also a member of the Long Island Business Development Council and the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS), where he was recognized as the ‘Associate Member of the Year.’ He is a frequent lecturer to trade groups and others on the law and practice relating to Economic Development Incentives and Industrial Development Agencies.
