Firm Hosts “Bankruptcy – What Every General Counsel Should Know” CLE Seminar

Uniondale, April 23, 2018 — The Firm’s Long Island General Counsel Network (LIGCN), in conjunction with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), held a seminar entitled “Bankruptcy – What Every General Counsel Should Know.” The featured speakers were Gerard R. Luckman, Chair of the Bankruptcy practice and John J. Burke, Jr., Esq., General Counsel of D’Addario & Co., Inc. Corporate Partner David J. Borkon moderated the seminar.

Gerard R. Luckman is a partner in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring practice group. Jerry’s pragmatic approach and experience has led him to represent virtually every type of client in a financial workout or chapter 11 bankruptcy case—including clients involved in distressed debt transactions, asset acquisitions, and asset sales outside of bankruptcy; as well as debtors, creditors’ committees, equity holders, landlords, and secured and unsecured creditors in chapter 11 proceedings.

David J. Borkon is a corporate attorney concentrating in business and transactional matters for a wide range of clients, including startups, growth-stage companies, and private equity firms and their portfolio companies—with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, financings, recapitalizations, and joint ventures.
