Jonathan P. Weiss is an Associate at Forchelli Deegan Terrana, LLP, where he is a member of the firm’s Tax, Trusts & Estates practice group.  Mr. Weiss’ practice focusses on estate planning, estate administration, and estate litigation.

Mr. Weiss works with clients to develop strategies which adhere to that client’s estate planning objectives, which range from simple to sophisticated plans.  He prepares Wills, Trusts, and other ancillary estate planning documents such as Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies.  Mr. Weiss also assists clients in the estate administration process, from the probate process through final distribution of assets.  In the litigation context, Mr. Weiss represents clients in probate contests, judicial accountings, and discovery and turnover proceedings.

Mr. Weiss graduated from St. John’s University School of Law where he was an Editor of the Journal of Civil Rights and Economic Development, a member of the Trusts & Estates Law Society, and a member of the Latin American Law Student Association.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Catholic University of America, in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Weiss is a member of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association, a member of the Nassau County Bar Association: Trusts and Estates Law Section; and a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Mr. Weiss was an intern for Honorable Margaret C. Reilly, Surrogate of Nassau County, a mergers and acquisitions paralegal at a global law firm, and a summer diversity fellow here, at Forchelli Deegan Terrana, LLP.
