David C. Casagrande is a partner in the firm’s Securities Litigation and Regulation practice group. Mr. Casagrande consistently provides results -oriented representation in an efficient manner and is dedicated to assisting corporate and individual clients. Mr. Casagrande assists clients on a vast array of securities matters in both federal and state courts, as well as ADR forums such as FINRA, JAMS, and AAA. He has successfully represented FINRA broker-dealers, financial institutions, individual professionals, registered representatives, as well as public and private investors involving securities litigation matters.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Casagrande worked in a broker -dealer as a registered representative, where he held a FINRA series 7 and 63 license. With this experience, Mr. Casagrande has litigated a wide range of securities matters involving: violations of federal and state securities laws; FINRA customer arbitrations involving claims of churning, unauthorized trading, market manipulation, suitability, and negligent supervision; FINRA industry arbitrations involving employment agreements, non-compete covenants, wrongful termination, and tortious interference claims; SEC inquires, investigations, and enforcements actions; and FINRA investigations, disciplinary matters and enforcement proceedings. In addition to obtaining many successful results for his clients, Mr. Casagrande has been recognized by Super Lawyers as New York Metro Rising Star (2021-2022).

Mr. Casagrande earned his Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he was awarded the Order of the Coif. While in law school, he was a clinical student at The Innocence Project, a non-profit organization that assists the wrongfully convicted through the use of DNA testing. While there, Mr. Casagrande assisted staff-attorneys litigate in trial and appellate courts across the nation on complex procedural and constitutional issues, including assisting on cases that led to three innocent men, who were wrongfully convicted of murder, secure their freedom.
