UNIONDALE, NY, JULY 7, 2023 – Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP (“FDT”) welcomes attorney Julia J. Lee to its Tax Certiorari practice group. She has extensive experience representing clients on tax certiorari matters in various jurisdictions throughout New York State.
At the Nassau County Attorney’s Office, Ms. Lee was the Deputy Bureau Chief of the Property Assessment Litigation Bureau.
Ms. Lee, a Huntington, NY resident, earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and her B.S., magna cum laude, from Stony Brook University.
“I have had cases against Julia and have always been impressed by her professionalism and strategy,” said John V. Terrana, the firm’s Co-Managing Partner and Co-Chair of its Tax Certiorari practice group. “The knowledge Julia has gained as a result of her diverse professional experiences makes her an asset to our growing practice group,” he added.
FDT has the largest tax certiorari practice in New York State, not only in terms of the number of attorneys handling tax certiorari work, but also in terms of the number of properties they handle. In 2022, the attorneys and staff of Koeppel Martone & Leistman, L.L.C., a preeminent real estate tax law firm, joined FDT. The addition of Ms. Lee continues FDT’s expansion.
“As a Deputy Bureau Chief, I found FDT to be highly experienced, attentive to detail, and deservedly well-respected,” Ms. Lee said. “It is exciting to be a part of FDT’s growth and an honor to be a member of this formidable team,” she added.
