Uniondale, December 31, 2017—Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP, the Uniondale-based law firm, has announced that associates Stephanie Alberts, Danielle Gatto, and Parshhueram Misir have become Partners, according to Managing Partner Jeffrey D. Forchelli.

Stephanie Alberts concentrates her practice in the tax, trusts and estates practice group, where she handles estate administration, estate planning, estate litigation, guardianships, and civil and criminal tax matters.

She represents individuals in various proceedings in the Surrogate’s Court, including probate and administration, contested probate, judicial accounting, guardianships, and miscellaneous proceedings.  Her work includes the preparation of probate documentation, conducting legal research, drafting estate litigation documents, and preparing estate tax returns. Ms. Alberts also has experience in representing clients in guardianship hearings in both the Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court.

She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton and St. John’s University School of Law.

Danielle Gatto concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, real property actions, zoning matters, and employment litigation, as well as assisting with complex tax certiorari matters and defending First Amendment actions.  She also has extensive experience with adverse possession and prescriptive easement claims.

Ms. Gatto has successfully argued before the Appellate Division, as well as in state and federal court proceedings.  She also has significant experience with motion and trial practice in state and federal courts, representing individuals, corporations, and municipalities.

She is a graduate of Tulane University and Hofstra University School of Law.

“Danielle joined the firm in 2008 and has become a skilled litigator in trial and appellate work, as well as mediations and arbitrations,” said Jeffrey Stark, chairman of the group.  “She has demonstrated, time and again, a very strong work ethic, and is devoted to the firm and its clients.”

Parshhueram Misir concentrates his practice in the areas of construction litigation, commercial litigation, and judgment enforcement.

He has successfully represented owners, contractors, and sureties in complex commercial, construction, and design defect litigation cases in both federal and state courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as in trials, arbitration, and mediation.

He is a graduate of Syracuse University and Brooklyn Law School.

“As an experienced construction lawyer, Parshhueram has developed a practice that includes drafting complex agreements and prosecuting and defending breach of contract, Lien Law, and surety bond claims,” said Peter Agovino, co-chair of the group.  He has been lead counsel on several major construction law decisions that have involved lien law trust diversions, lien law priorities, and wrongful terminations. .He has successfully prosecuted and resolved major contractor delay and defective work claims.”
