Jeffrey D. Forchelli and John V. Terrana, Co-Managing Partners of Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP (“FDT”), proudly announce that Michael L. McCarthy, a Huntington native with a prominent local reputation, and his staff, have joined the firm. Michael joins the firm’s Land Use & Zoning practice group as a partner. FDT will be operating out of its second Suffolk County office location at 444 New York Avenue in Huntington.

Michael brings deep experience guiding national and regional developers, property owners, and homeowners through complex municipal approval processes. He regularly appears before local boards and agencies throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties and is known for his practical, results-driven approach. He is also admitted to practice law in the state of Florida. His strong understanding of local regulations, combined with longstanding relationships, allows him to effectively advance projects while supporting sustainable, community-focused development.

Michael is a former Assistant Suffolk County Attorney and was an Assistant Huntington Town Attorney from 1987 to 1992, representing the Planning Board, the Office of the Assessor and the Town of Huntington in various capacities.

Michael, a Huntington, NY resident, earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and his B.S. from SUNY Oneonta.
