Peter B. Skelos Participated in a CLE seminar titled, “Gender Diversity in Arbitration and Mediation Selection – Achieving Equality for Women Attorneys in the Courtroom and In ADR.”

Uniondale, NY, November 16, 2017— Peter B. Skelos participated in a CLE seminar titled, “Gender Diversity in Arbitration and Mediation Selection – Achieving Equality for Women Attorneys in the Courtroom and In ADR,” sponsored by the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association.

Before joining the Forchelli law firm in 2015, Peter B. Skelos was an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court.  He directs the Firm’s Appellate Practice Group and is a member of the Litigation Department.

Skelos was admitted to practice law in the State of New York after graduating from Fordham Law School.  He was elected to the New York State District Court in 1994.  He was elected as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of NewYork for the 10th Judicial District in 1998.  Skelos was appointed as an Associate Justice of the Appellate Term of the Supreme Court in 2002.  Skelos was appointed in 2004 as an Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, one of the busiest appellate courts in the country.  In 2007, Skelos was appointed to be a member of the constitutional court of the Appellate Division.  In 2012, he was found Highly Qualified for the position of Justice of the Supreme Court by the New York State Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission.  He was reelected to the Supreme Court and re-designated to the Constitutional Court.
