Uniondale, October 20, 2016 — Kathleen Deegan Dickson, Partner at Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana LLP was honored as one of Long Island’s 50 Most Influential Women Hall of Fame award by the Long Island Business News. Launched in 2000, the Top 50 program recognizes Long Island’s top women professionals in business, education, government and the not-for-profit fields for their business acumen, mentoring and community involvement.

Ms. Deegan Dickson, a resident of Glen Cove, was selected because of her leadership in business and in the community. Kathleen Deegan Dickson concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate transactional matters, and, in particular, land use and zoning law. Kathleen has an extensive track record of success with and before municipal boards and agencies on significant projects throughout Long Island. She also has a reputation for effectiveness and integrity in the pre-hearing meetings and outreach to municipal planning staffs and civic groups that are now a must in Long Island’s current development climate. She is former counsel to the City of Glen Cove Planning and Zoning Boards, and currently represents many developers, property owners, corporations and private individuals in all types of matters involving real property transactions, zoning and land use. Currently, she is a member of the Firm’s Marketing Committee, which develops and implements the Firm’s strategic marketing plans. As a female Partner in the Firm, Kathleen has taken an active role in mentoring young women both Associates & Paralegals.

Ms. Deegan Dickson has been awarded an “AV” legal ability and ethics rating by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory. She is a member of the American and the New York State Bar Associations, as well as the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association, WEDLI (Women Economic Developers of Long Island), and the Nassau County Catholic Lawyer’s Guild. Ms. Deegan Dickson also on the Advisory Council of the North Shore University Hospital at Glen Cove, and the Board of Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation.

She was named a New York SuperLawyer (2011 – 2016) and was honored by the John J. Byrne Community Center Uniondale™ at its inaugural Long Island Outstanding Advocate for Children and Youth Awards and Molloy College at its Annual Golf Classic. She was honored as one of Long Island’s “50 Most Influential Women” by Long Island Business News (2010 & 2013). Most recently, she was voted as a Legal Eagle in Real Estate by the Long Island Pulse Magazine.
