Head of the Tax Certiorari Practice Group John V. Terrana Appointed Member of the Lynx Mortgage Bank LLC, Commercial Division Advisory Board

Uniondale, Sept. 5, 2018 — John V. Terrana, a partner at Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP, has become a member of Lynx Mortgage Bank LLC’s Commercial Division Advisory Board.

Lynx Mortgage Bank LLC’s Commercial Division acts as a consultant to place debt and joint venture equity financing for its clients through third party lenders.

Mr. Terrana joined the Firm 1993. As partner-in-charge of the Tax Certiorari Department, he has successfully obtained millions of dollars in real estate tax refunds and savings for clients, including national, regional and local owners and tenants of all types of commercial and residential property.

He served as a Deputy County Attorney for Nassau County, where he practiced in the areas of tax certiorari, condemnation, tax lien litigation and real estate.  He later became the Glen Cove City Attorney, where he was general counsel to all of the city’s departments and boards, and represented the city in its tax certiorari matters.  He was also counsel to the Glen Cove Community Development Agency and the Glen Cove Industrial Development Agency, where he prepared tax, financing and contract documents for complex real estate projects.

Mr. Terrana is a member of the New York State, Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations.  From 2001-2004, he served as Chairman of the Tax Certiorari and Condemnation Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT).  He is also on the Advisory Board of the Mattone Family Institute for Real Estate Law.
