Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP’s Growth Continues at Exponential Rate

The future continues to remain bright for the Uniondale-based law firm.

In early 2020, FDT renewed and expanded its lease to 50,000 s/f of office space occupying the entire 10th (top) floor of The Omni in Uniondale, NY. The renewed eleven-year lease afforded the firm the opportunity to keep pace with its projected growth. However, the growth came faster than anticipated, resulting in the need, in November 2023, to lease an additional 8,000 s/f of office space on the building’s 9th floor. The interior design, state-of-the-art amenities and sophisticated technology of this additional space are consistent with the 10th floor remodel.

In 2022, the attorneys and staff of Koeppel Martone & Leistman, L.L.C. joined FDT increasing the number of FDT employees to nearly 150. This was the largest expansion in the firm’s 47-year history.

In 2023, the firm welcomed:

  • Attorneys Anthony C. Varbero and David C. Casagrande, launching FDT’s Securities Litigation and Regulation practice group; Bret L. McCabe, Construction; Cheryl L. Katz, Tax, Trusts & Estates, with a concentration in Estate Litigation; Jonathan P. Weiss, Tax, Trusts & Estates; Julia J. Lee, Tax Certiorari; and Gregory Kalnitsky, Land Use & Zoning.
  • Associate pending admission Caroline G. Frisoni, Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Law Clerks Alexi Kirsch, Camila Morcos, Josephine Pinnock and Robert Ricigliano.
  • Tax, Trusts & Estates Paralegal Nicole Ciano.

With the addition of these professionals and other staff, FDT is well-equipped to continue to grow, expand our areas of practice, and better meet the needs of our valued clients. Growth has always been one of Co-Managing Partner Jeffrey D. Forchelli’s strategic visions. “FDT is already one of the preeminent law firms in our market,” he said. “More so now, and from a position of strength and stability, we are focusing on bolstering both the firm’s core and complementary practice groups by recruiting the finest talent and taking additional office space to accommodate the growth,” he added.
