Uniondale, NY, December 21, 2017—Dan Deegan was featured in the Who’s Who in Real Estate Law special section of the Long Island Business News. He answered the question, “What would be the one tip you would to someone heading into a commercial/residential transaction in 2018?”

He commented that he would advise any seller or purchaser entering into a commercial real estate transaction is to make sure they do their due diligence on the current land use approvals affecting the property and its structures and uses, and to ensure that any changes one intends to make to the use or structures will be permitted under the code.

Deegan heads up the law firm’s Industrial Development Agency (IDA), Municipal Incentives, and Government Relations practice groups, with particular emphasis on facilitating and implementing responsible real estate development projects.  He specializes in Real Estate Development Law, Zoning Law, Municipal Incentives/IDA Law, and Government Relations/Municipal Law.  He is experienced in representing companies before the IDAs in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
