Chair of the Firm’s Tax Certiorari Practice Group, John V. Terrana Quoted in Nassau County Executive Laura Curran’s Press Release

Uniondale, March 29th, 2019 – According to a press release issued by Nassau County Executive Laura Curran’s office, the County has paid an unprecedented $150 million of its tax certiorari liability. John V. Terrana served as a Deputy County Attorney for Nassau County, where he practiced in the areas of tax certiorari, condemnation, tax lien litigation, and real estate. He later became the Glen Cove City Attorney, where he was general counsel to all of the city’s departments and boards and represented the city in its tax certiorari matters. He was also counsel to the Glen Cove Community Development Agency and the Glen Cove Industrial Development Agency, where he prepared tax, financing, and contract documents for complex real estate projects.

Mr. Terrana joined the Firm in 1993. As partner-in-charge of the Tax Certiorari practice group, he has successfully obtained millions of dollars in real estate tax refunds and savings for clients, including national, regional, and local owners, and tenants of all types of commercial and residential property.
