Partner William F. Bonesso Named a 2011, “Who’s Who in Real Estate,” by Long Island Business News

Uniondale, December 22, 2011— William F. Bonesso was listed  in Long Island Business News’ “Who’s Who in Real Estate 2011.” In the feature, Mr. Bonesso was asked what he thought was a current issue in commercial real estate law?

He responded by stating, “Among my clients developing and redeveloping commercial real estate, the predominant trend in the market continues to be caution.  Unlike the early part of last decade, clients are far less likely to enter purchase or lease agreements with the intent to develop or redevelop property without said agreements providing contingency and escape clauses. In today’s market, clients are doing much more due diligence and making every aspect of the purchase/lease agreement contingent on the same …Clearly, with the downturn in the commercial real estate market that has been experienced over the last several years, developers have become much more savvy and proactive in their real estate acquisitions.”

William F. Bonesso has wide-ranging experience in the areas of land use and zoning, real estate and municipal law. A frequent lecturer at Continuing Legal Education seminars, Mr. Bonesso concentrates his practice in providing land use and development counsel, preparing and presenting zoning and planning applications and the representation of clients in related litigation.

Mr. Bonesso represents large corporate clients, small business owners, real estate developers and residential property owners in land use and subdivision applications to the various municipal boards and commissions of the towns, villages and cities throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.  Mr. Bonesso is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and is a Director on the Board of the Huntington Arts Council. Most recently, he was appointed to The Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce Board.
