Alexander  Leong

Alexander Leong is a partner in the firm’s Employment and Labor practice group. Mr. Leong is an experienced labor and employment attorney, who represents management in a wide variety of matters, including, but not limited to, employment discrimination and sexual harassment cases, wage and hour and prevailing wage disputes and investigations, and wrongful discharge claims, before courts, arbitrators, and government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, United States Department of Labor, New York State Department of Labor, New York State Division of Human Rights, and New York City Commission on Human Rights. Mr. Leong also represents employers in investigations and hearings before the National Labor Relations Board, and unionized employers in labor arbitrations.

Additionally, Mr. Leong advises employers on their legal obligations and rights with respect to workplace issues, including, without limitation, workplace safety, pre-hiring practices, Form I-9 compliance, employee leave and discipline, terminations and layoffs, and internal investigations of misconduct. Moreover, Mr. Leong assists businesses in preparing company policies, employee handbooks, and agreements with their employees.

Some of the clients that Mr. Leong has previously represented include large corporations and small businesses in the financial services, construction, relocation services, retail, property management, education, manufacturing, and restaurant industries, as well as not-for-profit organizations.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Leong was Of Counsel in the Employment and Labor Law practice group of a nationally recognized law firm. Mr. Leong was selected to the 2015-2017 New York Metro Super Lawyers lists (Employment & Labor). In January 2020, Mr. Leong was featured in “Who’s Who in Intellectual Property & Labor Law” of the Long Island Business News.
