Sustainability - LEED Certification

On October 2010, Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana LLP became Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - LEED-Certified Silver by the United States Green Building Council. The Firm is proud to be the first law firm on Long Island to be LEED-Certified in the category of Commercial Interior. The Firm’s success in securing LEED certification for its headquarters in The Omni Building is an example of its commitment to and support for sustainable building practices and a healthy work environment.

“We are proud to be a leader among our peers by achieving LEED CI Silver for our office, affirming our commitment to maintain an eco-friendly workplace environment,” said Managing Partner, Jeffrey D. Forchelli.

The build-out of the office space incorporated a multitude of ‘Green’ design techniques and construction materials. According to Partner Brian R. Sahn, who manages the Firm’s sustainable initiatives states, “The LEED office space not only saves energy but also creates a positive work environment for employees. A clean, healthy working environment makes employees happier and more productive during the day.”
