On October 2010, Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana LLP became Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design - LEED-Certified Silver by the United
States Green Building Council. The Firm is proud to be
the first law firm on Long Island to be LEED-Certified
in the category of Commercial Interior. The Firm’s
success in securing LEED certification for its headquarters
in The Omni Building is an example of its commitment to
and support for sustainable building practices and a healthy
work environment.
“We are proud to be a leader among our peers by
achieving LEED CI Silver for our office, affirming our
commitment to maintain an eco-friendly workplace environment,” said
Managing Partner, Jeffrey D. Forchelli.
The build-out of the office space incorporated a multitude
of ‘Green’ design techniques and construction
materials. According to Partner Brian R. Sahn, who manages
the Firm’s sustainable initiatives states, “The
LEED office space not only saves energy but also creates
a positive work environment for employees. A clean, healthy
working environment makes employees happier and more productive
during the day.”
Responsible citizenship reflects our commitment to the
kinds of principles our clients and our community are implementing
and supporting.
