William S. Cohn (Brooklyn Law School, 1953) has been a
practicing attorney for over fifty years, specializing
in land use and zoning as well as a wide variety of real
estate related matters. Mr. Cohn's early years of
practice were in Baldwin where he built a law firm which
merged with the Forchelli firm in 1998 where he has been
counsel for the past twelve years.
Mr. Cohn's experience
in land use and zoning is well-known on Long Island and
he has lectured on the subject before the Nassau County
Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the
Suffolk County Bar Association and the Real Estate Practitioners
Institute at C. W. Post College. He is a member of the
New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations.
He is
Chairman of the Planning Board of the Village of North
Hills, and a Past President and Director of the United
Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County where he currently
serves as Chairman and Director of its Foundation Board.
Mr. Cohn has been honored as "Man Of The Year" and
received the "Torch
Of Leadership Award" for his continuing efforts on behalf of the Association.
