The seminar was held in Uniondale, NY and was attended primarily by in-house corporate attorneys. Among the topics addressed by the speakers were defining renewable energy, financing alternatives, government incentives, and accessing the $5 Billion Clean Energy Fund Pool. Mr. Bannerman spoke about practical applications here on Long Island in implementing solar, wind, and fuel cell renewables. He spoke specifically about combined heat and power generation, financing components, and available incentives. Mr. Mezh described the nature of ClearCell’s renewable products, their application in commercial buildings with details as to the nature of the technology, their installation, and operational advantages. Mr. Burke spoke directly about his personal experiences as in-house counsel exploring various renewable energy sources and the tax credits and incentives available; very practical advice for those in attendance.
