On February 25, 2010, Labor & Employment
Partner Christopher G. Gegwich was
a panelist at the American Conference Institute’s forum ‘Defending
and Managing Employment Discrimination Litigation,’ in
New York City. With the volume of employment discrimination
litigation greatly increased, the conference highlighted
the key issues crucial to mounting a rigorous and complete
defense. Chris’ panel focused on Disability Claims:
Defending against Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), American’s
with Disabilities Act (ADA), Pregnancy claims
and ‘The Bermuda Triangle” crossover between
them all. Fellow panelists included a distinguished faculty
of in-house counsel, top outside defense counsel, as
well as renowned jurists.
Christopher G. Gegwich
concentrates his practice in
the areas of labor and employment
law. Mr. Gegwich has extensive experience defending management
clients in a wide variety of labor and employment litigation
matters in federal and state courts, as well as before
a variety of administrative governmental agencies, such
as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the
New York State Division of Human Rights. He has successfully

experience representing educational institutions with respect
to employment matters and student-related issues.
