Partner Anthony V. Curto discusses
the legacy of Harry Chapin in latest issue of Long Island
Business News.
Mineola, October 12, 2007— Partner Anthony V. Curto
discusses the life and times of his former client, famed
musician/ writer/ filmmaker and advocate, Harry Chapin,
in the latest issue of the Long Island Business News.
In the article, Mr. Curto sheds light on Harry Chapin’s
undying dedication to fighting world hunger, “He felt
that instead of just pursuing a rock career, he wanted to
make a major contribution to the world… he decided
that hunger was the key issue in alleviating pain and suffering,”
he explained. “He would come and break into song until
you invited him into the office, in the elevators…he
would tell everybody, ‘You’ve got to do something
about world hunger, about cultural arts on Long Island’.”
Mr. Curto's work centers on structuring, negotiating and
documenting a variety of complex transactions on behalf
of regionally and nationally known clients. He counsels
public and private corporations in major transactional matters,
including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnering
arrangements and the reorganization of business enterprises
and assets, across a variety of industries. He has also
represented an assortment of celebrities and personalities,
including Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn, Mike Francesa, Father
Tom Hartman and Liza Minnelli, among others.
