Jeffrey D. Forchelli Tapped to Monitor the Nassau Coliseum
Redevelopment Process
Newsday 1/9/07
Mineola, January 09, 2007 — The Firm Managing Partner
Jeffrey D. Forchelli has been highlighted in Newsday’s
latest issue for his involvement in the proposed redevelopment
of Nassau County’s Coliseum property located in the
Town of Hempstead.
Referring to Mr. Forchelli as a “development maestro”,
Newsday discusses his being tapped by developers Scott Rechler,
Chairman and CEO of Reckson Associates, and Islander’s
owner Charles Wang to monitor the Coliseum’s development
process on the county’s behalf.
News of the Coliseum’s redevelopment project spread
quickly soon after County Executive Tom Suozzi filed a proposed
“development plan agreement” with the project
developers to formalize their control over the 77-acre site.
Jeffrey D. Forchelli’s extensive practice concentrates
on complex real estate and land use matters, including litigation
and tax certiorari for major real estate developers and
corporations. He has served as Counsel to the New York State
Assembly, and served on the Legal Advisory Board and on
the Board of Directors of Security Title and Guaranty Company.
Mr. Forchelli was selected for inclusion in Who's Who in
American Law (8th Edition), and is consistently included
in the "Who's Who in Law" listing published annually
by the Long Island Business News.
